Congregational Announcement – Renaissance Church

Dear Renaissance Church family,
We want to share an important update that was shared last Sunday after the worship service. After a meaningful season of prayer, reflection, and conversation with the Board, Pastor Dan Gudim has decided to step down as Pastor of Renaissance Church.
Over the past two years, Pastor Dan has faithfully served in launching and leading this church in Great Barrington. We are deeply grateful for his obedience to God’s call, his commitment to the gospel, and the many ways he has invested in this community. This decision comes after months of discernment, as Pastor Dan has recognized that the operational leadership needs of this next season are not aligned with his primary gifts and calling. He believes this is the right and faithful next step for both his family and the health of the church.
We honor Pastor Dan for his humility, courage, and love for this congregation. His final Sunday will be June 28, and we look forward to celebrating and blessing him and his family.
Interim Leadership Update
The Board has asked Pastor Craig Mowrey, formerly of Walnut Hill Community Church, to serve as Interim Pastor during this transition. Pastor Craig’s first Sunday with us will be June 7, and he will overlap with Pastor Dan throughout the month of June to help ensure a smooth and healthy transition.
In the days ahead, the Board will continue to share more information about next steps for leadership. We are grateful for the ongoing partnership and support of Walnut Hill Community Church, Valley Community Baptist Church, and Converge.
We invite you to join us in praying for Pastor Dan and his family, for Pastor Craig as he steps into this interim role, and for our church as we trust the Lord together in this next season.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart…” — Proverbs 3:5–6
With gratitude and hope,
The Renaissance Church Board
